The Sabbath and Baptism Demystified
1) At that time Jesus went on the sabbath day through the corn; and his disciples were an hungred, and began to pluck the ears of corn, and to eat.

2) But when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto him, Behold, thy disciples do that which is not lawful to do upon the sabbath day.

3) But he said unto them, Have ye not read what David did, when he was an hungred, and they that were with him;

5) Or have ye not read in the law, how that on the sabbath days the priests in the temple profane the sabbath, and are blameless?

6) But I say unto you, That in this place is one greater than the temple.

7) But if ye had known what this meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice, ye would not have condemned the guiltless.

God never established His law to supersede grace and mercy, kindness and compassion! Actions that are all tantamount to living from faith to faith in the promises of God.
The way of faith in the promises of God supersedes the works of the law!
Jesus said few there are that find the way of escape from judgment, because most are seeking righteousness through the works of the law, by which no man or woman can attain righteousness!
When we're walking daily from faith to faith, we're sabbathing daily, we're baptized afresh daily in the Spirt of God, and heart is undergoing the spiritual circumcision of cutting away our fallen short nature, which is being replaced by the nature of Christ. Christ is formed in our heart by faith.
1) O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you?

2) This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?

11) But that no man [oudeis] {no one} is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith;

17) For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

28) Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.

God never instructed the Israelites to forbid all activity on the Sabbath day, especially not to forbid kindness and compassion. Forbidding to heal the sick, or feed the hungry, or any of the daily actions required for sustaining life and helping each other. God doesn’t have a hypocrite mind like the self-righteous power hungry minds of corrupt religious and secular rulers and authorities.
There was only one strict Sabbath rule, which was to not till the soil/land during the 7th year/Sabbath year of the Jubilee life of faith that God instructed the Israelites to live by.
They were to let the land lay fallow so that the nutrients in the soil could be replenished for the next 6 year cycle of planting and harvesting the bounty of the land. They were to trust in God to give them enough extra in the plant-and-harvest years, to have enough to carry them through the fallow-land year/Sabbath year.
God also designated 1/7th (one seventh) of every harvest to be left unharvested along the edges of the fields, for the poor, and the beasts of the field to glean.
The world, together with virtually every U.S. Administration since the UN (United Nations) mandate for a two State solution, has pressured and or outright condemned Israel-Judah for not dealing away land that God has designated stewardship to Jacob/Israel, and through Jacob/Israel God gave the scepter to rule to Israel-Judah, and the birthright went to Israel-Joseph.
But under the Obama Administration and his Clinton State Department, it was progressive, even good and righteous, not only to condemn Israel-Judah in the name of 'Peace and Security', but also Israel-Joseph-Manasseh (the USA) for our support of Israel-Judah.
This was not unexpected to those being taught the Word with knowledge and understanding, and in 2012 the Democrat Party declared to the whole world, and to all of heaven, what had long been obvious to me, their complete rejection of God, Israel, and Jerusalem from their Party Platform/Agenda.
It's not wise to condemn Israel-Judah because God has promised to restore them to the land of promise to Jacob-Israel and his descendants, which God is being faithful to do, right before our very eyes.

5/19/2011 Then President Barack Obama, speaking lies in hypocrisy, labels Israel-Judah an occupying force over land belonging to them regarding the land of 'Covenant Promise' made by God to Israel/Jacob and his descendants. God specifically gave the sceptre to Judah to rule Jerusalem and Israel.
